We recently teamed up with our friends and local retail partners at Armitage & McMillan to create a collaborative Fall Lookbook. Our goal was to create a collection of images highlighting our favorite bags from our Fall Collection -- along with some key pieces from their stellar menswear offerings -- while reflecting the casual mountain lifestyle that makes Denver (and Colorado) unique.
If you ask us what we like to do when we're not holding down the fort at our Denver workshop, we have a pretty easy answer: get into the mountains. While we're not hardcore adventurers, we get out whenever we can and we thrive off the energy we receive from a day spent hiking in the forests and mountains that line the Colorado Front Range, almost in our backyard. The textures, colors, and raw beauty of the changing seasons inspire us endlessly, and they make their way into our work as well: our Fall waxed canvas collection channels the deep dark blues of mountain lakes and crisp night skies, the golden yellows of sunlight reflecting off native yarrow in high mountain meadows, and the rich, earthy tan hues of fallen leaves.
On a chilly but perfect Saturday in September, we headed into the mountains with the Armitage & McMillan crew along with photographer and adventurer Joshua Edric, our friends/models Ryan and Sara, and Nova the dog, for a day of rambling around one of our favorite spots: Brainard Lake. The diversity of the landscape is breathtaking up there -- from quiet streams to open lakes, thick forests to heady meadows, humble boulders to towering peaks. We were even lucky enough to see some moose!
The resulting WS / Armitage & McMillan Fall Lookbook is a true Colorado collaboration, and we hope you'll enjoy looking at it as much as we enjoyed making it.
